100.000 secondo la BBC
"Thousands of people stayed in the square for hours after nightfall. Many were planning to stay the whole night to keep up the vigil and the demand for President Hosni Mubarak to go. It was a long day of speeches, slogan chanting and prayers with probably more than a hundred thousand people filling the square. At one point there was prolonged cheering and excitement when a rumour went round that Mr Mubarak has stood down. But it turned out not to be true. Speakers told the crowd they would have to be patient."
